Once you have Downloaded the Futhur Network Software, All or Most of these recommended software programs will be available through the Furthur Network by changing Object Type in your Search Tab or you can visit the appropriate websites below to grab any of the following decompressing, encoding, playing or editing tools. Please be sure to read both these FAQ's (FurthurNet FAQ's and Etree.org FAQ's) before asking questions about what to do with any of these tools.

Windows:

• Winamp - a nice player which plays many audio formats and has skins (see ShnAmp below)
• ShnAmp3 - a plugin which allows the Winamp Player to Play SHNs (No need to decompress.)
• MkwAct - convert WAVs to SHNs, SHNs to WAV, WAVs to MP3. Very useful!!! (mkw's home)
• Flacfrontend - convert WAVs to flac, flac to WAV, and more. Very useful!!!
• EAC - (Exact Audio Copy) for ripping CD's (tutorial)
• Shortn32 - Use To set up EAC to automatically create SHNs.
• CDWav - simple audio recorder and editor and WAV file splitter.
• Feurio - (shareware) a simple Wave Editor and a CD Writer for Burning Data or Audio CD's.
• Nero - Nice CD Writer for Burning Data or Audio CD's (demo version)
• Nero Plugins - additional software to assist in burning music Flac or SHN.
• EZ CD Creator - A Very nice, full featured CD Writer for data, music, photoslideshows and videos, if you are lucky it came with your burner. Otherwise get out your wallet.

• MacAmp Lite X - Gorgeous playback of MP3 audio, as well streams, CDs, and more. (OS x) 1.5 has SHN plugin preinstalled.
