Our Policy is simple. We do not solicit any user information
for any kind of monetary gain. We do not even collect user information apart from the
information that Furthur and its related services need to operate. We do not disclose
any user information,
other than what you choose to make public, except as required by law or to protect the
Furthur network from abuse.
We may use your IP address and other information about you
to provide support, to prevent users from abusing the network and to gather statistical
usage data to figure out how to improve the program. Similarly, if you register for the Forums or for other services, we may require an e-mail
address or other information, including IP address, that these services need to function.
Other than your IP address and basic information about how Furthur is configured, you will
always be asked for this information explicitly.
We may use your email address or other information to
contact you with questions or concerns about your use of Furthur. Your IP address may be tracked,
monitored, recorded and used by any means we deem necessary in order to restrict
your access to the FurthurNet. We will, however, generally
keep all of this information confidential and will not disclose it to anyone without your
permission and/or a very good reason, except as required by law.
That's it.
